Coffee Roasting Production Software
Roast day connects purchased green coffee to the finished coffee you can sell. RoastBase keeps the business records for that transition together: batches, weights, yield, inventory, and costs.

Record what goes in and what comes out
For each batch, record the green coffee used and the finished roast weight in consistent units. The difference gives you the weight lost during roasting. Comparing actual batch yields makes your production and cost estimates more useful than assuming every coffee behaves the same way.
Plan green weight from finished demand
Divide the finished coffee needed by your expected yield. For example, 30 pounds of finished coffee at an 85% yield requires approximately 35.29 pounds of green coffee. This is an illustrative planning calculation; use your own measured yield and allow separately for samples or packing losses.
Keep production and profitability connected
A coffee with a lower yield needs more green coffee per finished pound. Keeping roast weights alongside inventory and cost records helps explain why a change in production can change your margin even when your supplier price stays the same.
Keep your roast profiling tools
RoastBase does not control your roaster or replace roast profiling software. You can continue using Artisan for your roasting workflow while recording business and production information in RoastBase. This does not imply automatic Artisan data synchronization.
